I’ve been thrilled this week to learn that I’ve won a gold award in the latest Wedding Photojournalist Association contest—not just because it’s the highest award on offer, but because this was the first WPJA competition I’ve entered since I joined the organisation recently. You can see the shot below. It was taken in April this year, at a hotel in London’s Maida Vale: a quiet moment of prayer before leaving for the ceremony. It’s great to know that your photographs resonate not just with those in them and with their friends and family, but with a wider audience as well. Many more golds to come, I hope.
